 DOMINICAN CRAVINGS

Dominican Cravings

is a family-owned restaurant in Libertyville, Illinois that came to us with the goal of refreshing their brand and overall vibe. They pride themselves on being a gathering place of all ages for family and friends. From good food to live music, they bring the good vibes and wanted a brand to reflect it. For the past 20 years they had a 'Saloon and Eatery' themed atmosphere which clashed with the goal of wanting to attract a younger crowd and become a known chic and cool spot for music and food. We updated their brand to reflect this with a logo refresh, tweaked color palette, and new overall messaging and tone. Through a new website, updated social, and continued swag and print items we have rolled out and pushed the new branding to their customers.

As a graduate of The International Culinary Center, Emmanuel “Manny” Diaz worked in kitchens at renowned restaurants like ABC Cocina and Salvation Burger, all the while dreaming of venturing out on his own. In 2018 Manny’s hard work paid off, and he opened his first business focusing on cuisine from his home country, the Dominican Republic.

Manny, with the help of sister Mercedes and other family members, serves up traditional Dominican dishes, like empanadas and patacon, with a modern twist. Don’t miss their cheeseburger empanada, one of Eater’s top ranked dishes at Essex Market.
